Sea Memory feels like stepping into a modern cabinet of curiosities—an intimate boutique where originality is the guiding principle.

Opened in 1997 by the Lacour family, it remains a place of wonder, with every shelf filled with rare objects and distinctive materials sourced from around the world.

Today, Edouard Lacour and his parents curate an ever-evolving collection of furniture, decorative pieces, and refined accessories for the well-designed home. Each year, loyal clients return to discover new treasures brought back from Italian, Belgian, French, and Asian artisans—objects that are at once cosmopolitan, unexpected, and meticulously crafted.

Edouard champions high-quality arts, luxury items, and custom pieces. Every two years, he and his father design a new furniture line inspired by the Art Deco era, blending luxurious modern materials—mother-of-pearl, galuchat (stingray skin), stainless steel, parchment—with clean, contemporary lines. Alongside these creations, the boutique also features classic furniture (armchairs, side tables), as well as coral, minerals, and taxidermy specimens.

With several hundred unique objects on display, Sea Memory has become an essential stop in St Barth for collectors, interior designers, and lovers of singular design. Its signature piece: a compact, multi-functional game table perfect for elegant casino nights at home.

Originally dedicated exclusively to objects from the sea, the boutique has grown into a destination for bespoke creations. Clients—captivated by the beauty and durability of stingray skin—frequently request custom orders. Whether an étui, a jewelry box, or a small dressing table, the imagination of Sea Memory’s clients, like Edouard’s, knows no limits.
